God will Hide His Musicians

God Will hide His Musicians

Psalm 27:6 states, “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.”
In verse five of this psalm, David declared that “in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion (sok 5520).  This Hebrew word connotes a covert den entwined with boughs.  David had faith that God would hide him securely away in a den that God had prepared with entwined branches so thickly woven that David’s enemies could not find him.  David was speaking figuratively of God’s ability to protect him.
It is no wonder that the psalmist David declared that he would go to church and shout for joy as he sang praises to God.  Surely every musician should shout for joy when he or she remembers the many times that God has given divine protection.
It would be a good thing if you would drop on your knees right now and give God a sacrifice of praise and joy.  It would strengthen you spiritually if you would tell the Lord how much you appreciate Him for hiding you from your enemy Satan.  Thank your heavenly Father for protecting you from Satan who has been going about as a roaring lion seeking for you, as a Christian musician, to destroy you spiritually.  Satan hates musicians because they not only praise God with music, but they also lead whole congregations in praising and worshiping God.  So, he tries, in every subtle way that he can think of, to destroy them.  However, they have a special “sok’ in which they can hide from the wiles of the Devil.
