Prayer for the Day-In the
Fiery Furnace
My heavenly Father, who sent the Holy Spirit to guide
me into all truth, help me to not
bow down to the musical idols of this present age. Give me the wisdom to take a stand for what
is right—no matter the cost. Give me a
sweet but firm spirit like the three Hebrews who would not bow to the will of
this world. Help me to believe that, if
you allow me to be placed in the fiery furnace, you will be there to protect
me. Lord, although I would like to
escape the fiery furnace, I will not ask You to exempt me from criticism or
misunderstanding. I am only asking You
to help me to exhibit a Christ-like spirit when the fiery times come. These things I pray in Your strong and just name. Amen.
