Can we understand music's meaning?--part 8

Although the musical matrix of God and Satan contain the same musical building blocks--rhythm, melody, harmony and tone color--they are ordered differently.  The way that the building blocks of music are ordered gives music its essential nature.  The nature of  music will give actual meaning to the music.  The nature of a music gives it a set of traits that will establish its character.  The nature of of a music will determine what it  will be like and what its import will be and what effect it will have on the performer and auditor.  These traits will also be the means of conveying  understanding.
Therefore , Christian musicians must be cognizant of the fact that the music part of music can and will have great power over the"doer" and the "hearer".   To naively deny  music's power to convey understanding to us is to not understand the nature of  the music part of music
There are music philosophers from more than one school of music that believe that music is a closed system.  The essence of their belief is that, although music has meaning and gives understanding to the performer and the listener, this understanding is bottled up inside of music's meaning.  To them, music has meaning and gives understanding but this understanding is in no way related to life outside of music.  In effect, this philosophy renders  the music part of music powerless to have a positive or negative effect on those who perform or listen to it. Sadly, Christen musicians have become disciples of this philosophical fallacy by the thousands.  They believe that the music part of music is benign and powerless to have a negative effect on the performer or listener.
