Today is the last day of November. It has been a month of harvest thankfulness. This year we have the opportunity to share
the thanksgiving thankfulness of November with the joy and anticipation of the
Advent season. Yesterday we were
thankful got the adoption as God’s sons and daughters. Today as Galatians 4:6 teaches, all
Christians should give thanks for the privilege of son-ship, “And because ye
are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,
Abba, Father.”
It is a
privilege for me to shout with joy, Lord, You are my Father. Think about the
fact and miracle of Christ coming to this Earth. Also it would be a good thing to spend some
time thanking and praising God foe sending His Son to be with us. Matthew 1:23 say, “Behold, a virgin shall be
with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us.”
The Advent season is a time that Christians have set aside to worship
God for the Gift of His Son. A we all
know, Emmanuel means “God with us”!
Praise God, He was not only with mankind 2,000 years ago, but He is
still with us in our hearts tis Advent season.
We should take this reflective and joyful advent season to think about
what it means to us that the God who spoke worlds into existence chose to send
his Son to be with us.
