God Is Able to Keep
Christian Musicians
Jude 1:24-25, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from
falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with
exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion
and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
Did you
ever wonder why the apostle Jude said that God is “able to keep you from
falling”, and furthermore that God is able “to present you faultless before the
presence of his glory”? I got curious
the other day so I looked up the word keep (phulasso
5442), from falling (aptaistos 679),
and faultless (amomos) 299 in the AV. The word translated keep means that God is
able to preserve or keep the Christian from stumbling spiritually. He went on to explain that God would present
the Christian without blame when we stand before Him.
Under
the inspiration of the bless Holy Spirit the apostle Jude declared that God has
the power to keep the Christian from falling spiritually and therefore this
faithful Christian could come into God’s presence and be without moral blame in
the sight of almighty God. This may go
against some people’s theological beliefs, but I believe what is written in
these two verses in Jude is a wonderful uplifting promise to Christian
musicians who are now living in this sin cursed world.
Thought for the Day
It isn’t a perfect Christian who is able to preserve himself
blameless before God, but rather a perfect and all-powerful God who “is
able to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding
joy.”
