Though for the Day
When I was a boy, my mother worked
as a nurse’s aide at the local Hospital in Fort Scott Kansas. My older brother Nathan and my dad did the
morning milking and fed the cattle. I
had several chores to do like feeding the chickens and preparing our breakfast
etc. These routine chores and responsibilities
were very important in the development of a personal discipline in my
life. Later, when I went away to college
it was easy to get up early, prepare my breakfast etc. One of the most important things that parents
can teach a youth is to regularly practice on their own.
