The
anointing on a church musician’s musical ministry comes from divine influence
on the human instead of from one’s charisma. By the term charisma I mean the compelling
attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others. I believe that a Christian should music
emotion and meaning. However, it is the
anointing of the Holy Spirit that properly empowers a musician for musical
service rather than one’s personal talent and charm.
