Worship in Spirit and in Truth part 1

Worship in Spirit and in Truth part 1
St. John 4:20-24 states, “Our fathers worshipped in this mountain [Mt. Gerizem]; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Can we truly say we know what we worship?    Sometimes musicians have a fundamental misconception of what worship really is. It is not a guy on the platform playing a pipe organ so big you have to wear a crash helmet to get down off the bench, or someone down on the floor wearing sandals and a Jesus t-shirt playing his guitar or banjo, or six Barbies with microphones singing in front of the congregation.
