If it is true (and it is) that in the beginning
God created music, then music is very personal to God.
“ The Bible says,
first of all, that in the beginning all things were created by a personal-infinite
God, who had always existed. So what is,
therefore, is intrinsically personal rather than impersonal”1
Why should we care
philosophically whether music was personal or impersonal to God? The reason it matters is that if music is
personal to God them Church Music
Matters to God. If it matters to God
then God has an opinion about this personal creation. If He cares them He without doubt has
standards of correctness and incorrectness concerning all music.
